We are located in North East Texas; Just a short trip outside of Dallas. We are are a show/breeder exhibitor of Siberian Huskies, and strive for the highest qualities in each and every breeding we undertake.

Health
At Icewind we breed for excellence in health, structure, movement, type, and temperament. Good health is very important to us, whether the dog is going to be a show dog or a beloved pet. Any of our dogs that are bred have had their hips x-rayed and certified clear of any hip dysplasia (OFA'd) after 2 year of age, as well as their eyes examined and certified clear by a Canine Ophthalmologist starting at 1 year of age.
Correct Structure & Movement
At Icewind we strive for correct structure and movement in our dogs. The gait of the Siberian Husky is smooth and seemingly effortless, and they are quick and light on their feet. Correct movement comes from correct structure. This is what makes Siberians excel as Sled Dogs, as well as in other dog sports such as Agility & Skijoring.
Exceptional Companionship
Siberian Huskies should have excellent temperaments. They generally make very good companions for individuals and families alike. They typically get along well with other dogs, and can get along with other animals as long as they are raised with them and taught to respect them from a very young age. A puppy obedience/manners class is recommended for all Siberian puppies, not only to help them understand the rules and where they fit into the household but also to help the puppy bond with it's owners. Siberian Huskies are very strong, and if there are children in the household, they must be taught from Day 1 not to jump on the children or be too rough with them. Siberian puppies are like any other breed of puppy, and must learn the 'rules' for his/her household as soon as possible so they can grow into a well-adjusted adult that is a joy to live with. At Icewind Siberians, we breed only dogs that are of sound body AND mind, so as to assure correct temperaments in our dogs. Our puppies are always raised in the house, so are used to all the goings-on of family life, and are well socialized from day one.
